Calling all males
All right, I have a question for all you males out there. A conversation I had just a short while back triggered a thought, and now I want to know what guys have to say about it.
So it's a "known fact" that most guys end up watching pornography at some point in their lives, whether some of us women like it or not. However, my big question is this: even if a guy is in what would be termed as a "relationship", does he watch pornography, even if it's not on a regular basis?
I realize this isn't quite something that can be generalized, and that it's a question for which the answer will vary from person to person.
And the second part of my question is, how many of you guys will honestly tell the girl you are "with" if you are watching pornography on the side, regardless of how infrequent it is?
And suppose you are watching pornography on the side, but at the same time, you claim to love your girlfriend/loved one/significant other, whatever you call the other person. How does that work?
Feel free to comment on this anonymously if you'd rather nobody know who you are =)

yea we watch it, no we dont tell our girls, yea we still love them, but sex is sex and doesnt have ne thing to do with love sumtimes
Pornography, as 'pictures or videos of people arbitrarily close to going at it' is hyped. For most of us it is a casual topic of conversation that has nothing to do with arousal for the same reason that you do not see guys leaving R rated movies wanting to hump anything that moves. "pornography on the side" gives the notion of substituting (so to speak) for sex. That's not the point. We are men and we objectify lots of things about sex. We might value what it means to us personally in relationships quite a lot but when men get together, sex is as casual a conversation as how to make apple pies and watching porn is nothing more than reading a daily comic strip. Did I just say 'strip'?.. oh thats so fuckin naughty.
dude who r u kidding? yea sex is as casual a conversation as how to make apple pies but yo...thats in groups.....dont make the girl think we dont watch it just bcuz we r in a rlationship....guys will be guys
Oh wow, three comments already. Ok, "anonymous #2", I have a question for you. Rather, I suppose it's a clarification. I understand men in general objectify lots of things about sex, and I understand that "sex" is as casual a conversation as how to make apple pies, and watching porn is nothing more than reading a daily comic strip. Doesn't this indicate then that it's as "common place" as those other, possibly "everyday" activities? Does that mean many men will watch pornography even if they are in a relationship?
theres no way to lie about this...guys watch porn...gotta agree with the first guy on this..cept some of us might tell the girl we r with and some even watch together, but weather its together or not, porn is sorta this standard thing in a guys life...it would be shocking if u could show me one guy who didnt have porn on his computer hidden away in a folder somewere and it doesnt matter if he is in a very committed relatinship or not
ok first of all, though there are quite a few spelling mistakes in your post, I am going to have to nitpick and point out that you used the wrong "weather"...you should have used "whether".
That aside, I have to say, I really don't get it. I didn't realize porn was so necessary that it was something guys watch even if they are in a relationship. I can understand that some couples watch it together for their own reasons, but to watch it alone without the knowledge of the woman you are with beats me.
To me, it doesn't matter if it is a relationship in which you see the person everyday, or if it's what might be considered a "long-distance" relationship. If you value the relationship enough, shouldn't that be satisfying enough? And if you are going to imagine things, shouldn't it be images with that person in mind, not some other person or some other group of people engaged in sexual activity?
Of course we watch porn.. but dude, her question is not just if we watch it. it is 'how normal is it to... and how serious is it...?' and the fact is, porn is daily change... whether u spend ur day whackin off to it or not is not the point.. the point is, it is commonplace, casual..
i have a question for all women who eat hot dogs.. i know most of you have had hot dogs at some point in their lives.. but do u eat them even after u get into a relationship with a guy?.. and if u do, do u tell him about it? how does this work?
I don't understand how eating a hot dog has anything to do with the topic at hand. Sexual activity is something that can have more value while in a relationship, and is sometimes "expected" by at least one person in the relationship to remain exclusive to the relationship.
I'm seriously going to ignore the stupidity of the "hot dog" comparison. It makes no sense in this context.
lol wtf does a women eating a hotdog got anything to do with it? come on man, dont mock the question..totally valid question and it opens a gud discussion....anyway for most guys porn is sorta this commonplace thing thats there and they watch..but that doesnt apply for every guy..i mean i was in a relationship up until a few months ago and i never watchd porn while in it and havent watched it afterwards..i watched before sometimes but never once during the relationship probably for the same reasons that made u wanna ask this question in the first place..but there r guys like me who cant even imagine watchin anyone else when im in a relationship..so dont worry theres hope for u gals who dont appreciate it
hot dogs?? who the hell wrote that?? haaa that doesn't make sense
hot dogs have wieners.. and, hopefully, so do the guys that this post calls out to. 'wieners'.. like 'penises'.. get it?
yeahh off course man but who the hell asks that..women dont eat any part of us..eating hot dogs has nothing to do with us xcept for the look of weiners..and man, guys eat hot dogs too..for the sake of our sexualaity as men with a preference in women lets not ask women aboout eating hotdogs during, before or after a realtionship ok..this whole discussion took this wierd turn........
ok...I wrote this blog post as an opportunity to open up a discussion on the topic of pornography, and watching it while in a relationship, the reasons for it, etc.
I'd appreciate it if we kept the discussion on that instead of discussing some analogy of women eating hot dogs one of you decided to throw in there.
If you are going to respond to what I've written in my blog entry, or to one of the other posts without mentioning hot dogs, your comments are more than welcome.
alrite heres the deal..middle schoolers get turned on by porn high schoolers might get turned on by porn well some of them..after that ud half to be really lonely or desparate to get turned on by it
amen to that buddy..porn is really not that interesting after watching it when ur goin thru puberty and u want to do anything thats got anything even resembling breasts.....u really learn to think of sex differently when u get older and definitely afetr u get involved in serious relationshiops..even if ur not having sex in ur relationship it doesnt matter really .. hard to exolain im sure the guys who have been there know what im talking bout
